Galactio PAPAGO!
www.eastgear.comEastGear Pte Ltd, in partnership with Maction Technologies Inc and Quantum Inventions Pte Ltd (QI) launched the Galactio PAPAGO! X3 TMC Real Time Navigation Software at COMEX 2009. The 1st in Singapore to provide Real Time Dynamic Navigation to consumers over RDS‐TMC.
With Galactio PAPAGO! X3 TMC Real Time Navigation Software, drivers will now be able to receive actual real time traffic information from Traffic Information Platform (TRIP) a platform developed by Land Transport Authority (LTA) in partnership with Quantum Inventions Pte Ltd (QI), through RDS‐ TMC.
RDS or Radio Data Systems is a broadcast mechanism for FM transmission. TMC or Traffic Message Channel, is developed under TC204, an ISO standard by a technical committee for Intelligent Transport Systems. With RDS‐TMC, it enables the processed traffic information from TRIP to be transmitted to Galactio PAPAGO!. Hence, drivers with Galactio PAPAGO! in their Personal Navigation Device (PND) will be able to receive traffic information from TRIP via RDS‐TMC. With this, drivers will enjoy real time dynamic navigation where actual traffic conditions are made aware to them.
Unlike other systems, Galactio PAPAGO! is the 1st and only PND software to use TRIP which updates the PND every minute as compared to 5 minutes on other systems.
